Can I ask why? Do you mean that it's very academic or do you mean that there is an issue with the seminary itself?

Can you PM me. This information would be important for me to know about since she was considering going

Do a search here on seminaries in Israel. There's plenty of info about Reenas (sp?) that this poster is referring to.

BYA is pretty academic. It’s similar in level to Nachlas. Girls with 90+ average get into these two places. What about bnos Avigail?

Sounds like a decent idea. Does anyone have any information on Bnos Avigayil? How academic is it?

As far as I heard, yes. For very deep thinkers, too.

What defines academic?

Doesn't everyone need to study in seminary?

I was also wondering about kitov - my daughter is a very very "good" girl (we are OOT yeshivish) with solid hashkafos, very frum, not into materialism, put together... but does not want a pressure seminary - she is quite bright, but does not enjoy the pressure of tests, reports etc. Would rather learn to learn without all the pressure. She thinks, however, that if you want a sem with motivated, good girls it will inevitably be academically pressuring.
Someone mentioned kitov to me, but then another friend (who I don't think really knows) said it doesnt give the girl a good name. thoughts?

I thought Meohr is more modern. Am I correct about that?

Dd wants to be with girls who don't watch movies and don't listen to Non-Jewish music (and girls with flip phones is preferred as well)

Does Meohr have a lot of girls like that?

I thought it was not so Yehivish but I cld be wrong.

Seminar became yeshivish. As far as I know Meohr did not.

If you are considering Brooklyn my daughter loved Nitzotz, Interesting hashkafic classes, great program and Mrs. Seruya the principal is amazing-spiritual, warm, has great lessons. It’s a mix of all types.
