This game reminds me of a game I once made up for my bungalow colony.
Everyone had to answer a series of questions anonymously, and then we had the batch of papers and we had to arrange them in chronological order of the age of its author.
Questions were:
What you collected and traded in school
Who sang at your wedding
How much rent did you pay for your first apt.
Which song do you remember from your childhood
Which company clothin was in style when you were in high school
Etc…

I say "DS wants a tape, can someone turn it on"
And we have MP3's for the kids!!
My kids probably think mp3's are tapes!
I should tell them what tapes were

OK so I also remember when Tofutti came out, ribbon barrettes when I was in 5th grade, trading and collecting stickers and stationery, cassettes came out around that time but we still bought records through middle school age (but there was no "middle school" just elementary and high. 7th and 8th was sometimes referred to as junior high). When the walkman came out we all switched over. And we recorded all our records onto tapes on our stereos (and those of us who listened to the radio made our own mix tapes. These took lots of time and effort and were very precious to us.)
A lot of the nostalgia here is Boro Park specific I think. OOT the top of the line carriage was Perego And the only kosher snacks were Hershey's, Wise chips, Tangy Taffys, Twizzlers and Ferrara Pan (Red Hots, Lemonheads etc.). The good CY Swiss chocolate was only available Pesach time..
We were early adopters--we got an Atari 2600 and played Pong and Space Invaders, and then a Nintendo when I was in high school, and first a Texas Instruments computer when I was maybe 11 and the first Mac when I was in high school. My school was cutting edge and offered a computer programming elective when I was in 6th grade where we learned Basic and printed on paper that was attached and had holes on the side. We also got a VHS VCR, not long after they came out, and were glad we had made the right decision not to get a Beta since they didn't take off..
When I little our cars only had lap seatbelts. My father used the dad arm when he had to stop short; of course I was sitting in the front next to him. I remember when shoulder belts first came out (only in the front seats of course). No one ever heard of bicycle helmets..

Ferrara Pan is still around--my older kids had them and then they stopped being kosher maybe 6-7 years ago? Funny they were still popular where I live, even with all the 100's of kosher candy options..
And I agree, dipsy doodles are still the best

Yes to the Klein's popsticks! For years I saved my collection of 150 sticks because I was "going" to redeem them. I wonder if they're still around someplace in my parents' house.

Murray the Sock Man
and Library Truck
are the most memorable ones for me, but of course there were plenty others selling anything from sukka stars to Rubbermaid containers.
