I can't remember having a puddle behind my sink in my previous home. The worktop in that space is always so full of water! Why and is there something I can do about it?

You can buy a tiny mat, they sell it special for that.

I’ve had this. It can be a leak from the sprayer (even while you’re not specifically using it), or the faucet, or faucet handle/knob.
You can run some water for a minute and try to trace where it’s dripping from.

Do you have a washing cup there? Otherwise maybe the faucet is loose and leaking.

I had that and the reason was because the base of the faucet was a bit loose. I just had someone tighten it and put a glue or something around it to seal it.

It can be a leak. Can also be because the son is incorrectly angled and it is very slightly leaning backwards so any water spray/drops/spills fall there instead of into the sink.
