S/O of the PJ Library thread.

Does anyone know of any picture books or lower level reading books which were put out by the standard Jewish publishers and feature frum kids with different racial backgrounds (even just in a single illustration)?

There is a new kids book that had a kid with dark skin in it. Not sure the name of the book though. I’ll try to find out

Thanks. I'm sure these books are really nice and teach kids about different cultures.

However, I'm looking for books with some nonwhite Jewish characters. Do these have any in them?

They are chabad shluchim's children. These books are meant to show diverse places,, not diverse people..

My kids love this series. All the books are about white chabad families living in very random places. OP is asking if there are any books where there are Jewish kids that are not white.

Who Needs You by Manis Friedman, you can see some varied skin tones on the book cover (not very dark though)

There was an article in the Nshei Chabad Newsletter about a biracial family that produces books with more diversity. I can try to find it.

In "Here Comes the Mitzvah Team" (published by Hachai) Lipa in the park definitely has darker skin.
