I make duck sauce chicken for shabbos literally every week. My kids love it but I’m getting bored. Anyone have a different recipe idea that’s a similar concept?

Cranberry chicken.
Cut an onion into rings and put in the bottom of a pan.
Put chicken pieces on top. Spice with salt, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika and rub the spice mix under the skins.
Top with a can of cranberries (jelly or whole both work).
Bake covered on 350 for 2-3 hours.

Orange chicken. Spice chicken with paprika, onion and garlic powder, then shmear on orange juice concentrate(from frozen can, allow to thaw slightly). Bake open at 450 for ,30 minutes, then covered at 350 for as long as you like.

Does it have an extreme orangey taste?

ETA: did you ever try it with cut onions on the bottom and if so, how did that taste?

When posters are mentioning teriyaki sauce, which one are you referring to?

I mix the cranberry sauce with chilli sauce and it’s a great combination.

Barbecue sauce! Just made this last week and it was so good.
Pit some BBQ sauce and water in pot. Add sliced potatoes. Add BBQ sauce. Add chicken on top. Add more BBQ sauce. And cook on low flame for a couple hours.

Make a sauce of ketchup, vinegar, garlic, and soy sauce. Pour over chicken and bake, covered at 350. Uncover and bake for last five minutes.

Plain and simple.
Slice an onion on top of chicken.
Add salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder.
Cover with foil and cook for a while....taste delicious!
I don't like to use sugar on my chicken I'd rather save that for dessert.

If you are looking for a recipe that doesn't use processed sauces with lots of sugar, this is tasty and very simple to make. Who doesn't like slowly roasted onions?
