So Amazon stopped giving free return labels?
I tried chatting with them and they said only qr codes to give at UPS locations.
Why is it worth it for them? I will definitly think twice before ordering Amazon if returns are a hassle.

I just printed out a return label

I think it depends what you choose for the reason for return

Dropping it off at UPS or Kohls is the easiest option vs printing, cutting, and taping a label on imo anyways. You don’t need a label at UPS or kohls, just have them scan the QR code and they take it from there.

Rep answered me they are working on having less trucks on the road.....
I then answered back: Maybe you'll also have less customers if Amazon becomes a hassle. Then you'll definitly have less trucks on the road Wink

I don't drive and thats why its annoying for me. And UPS driver comes to my neighborhood every morning and he gladly takes all my returns.

It’s actually easier this way. You don’t have to box it up for them either.

This. You have to choose the right reason for return.

I tried that. What would I need to choose?
And I chatted with them and they refused to give me a label

It's only easier if you have a Kohl's or ups near you...

Why do you need a label and what’s the issue with a qr code? You bring the item, they scan the code. Done.

You are better off calling on the phone.
Their chat service is basically a call center with workers in Asian countries that have a script to follow and don't have the authority to go off scripts.

They’ve gotten comfortable at their position at the top. Looks like they’ve secured themselves against competition, and we customers will star feeling it.

Not everyone has a Kohl's or ups store near them. I don't. And I don't have the time to drive 20 minutes each way to find one. I would rather print a label, pack up my return and slip it into a UPS box that I pass on my way to work.

It sound like OP was getting prepaid labels and a UPS guy was taking her return packages from her doorstep.

I never had that as an option! Sounds nice though!

I just printed return labels a few days ago. No issues.
I wonder if this is location dependent.
I usually prefer ups dropoff with a qr code because I have a store right near me.
But lately some items that I returned with a qr code were marked still in transit 2 months later and Amazon charged me again.
I'm glad I noticed. I chatted with Amazon and they confirmed that they did receive it and they refunded the second charge.
But I figured if I have expensive returns I'd rather have a tracking number with which I can prove that the item got delivered back to them.

If you are trying to get someone to do you a favor - being snarky isn't going to help.

I don't drive. I don't have a kohls or ups store near me. It is very hard to shlep the kids along on errands and I have no time alone without kids.
I don't have a smartphone so I would need to print the paper with the qr code.
I find it easiest to print the label, pack it up and then my husband drops it off on his way to work.

Let me fix that for you- it's easier FOR YOU.

For me it is easier to print the label and pack up the box.

If there's no UPS or Kohl's close enough to you based on your zip code, then they do generate a free label
