Diff for each school. Most will try not to take November and December kids

Some schools OFFICIAL cutoff is Nov 30 and some December 31.
However, unofficially for boys, most schools strongly discourage November and December boys from being pushed ahead. And girls schools unofficially discourage Decembers.

If you already have a school, and you feel like your child will do well, you might be able to send a young November or December.
But many schools will actively discourage

Some places will even discourage October

What month was your kid born in?

My son turned five the end of December and I sent him at four. It was the best decision he was the smartest in his grade. It really depends on the child. But many children become behavioral problem kids when left behind.

I sent my sept son to school when he was 5. H turned 6 in Sept.
He is the 3rd to oldest in his class. There are a few other Sept boys.

What type of personality is she?

My kids are all november and december kids and I’m so happy I didn’t leave them behind. Unless you have some concern or reason why dumb down your child? If there is no concern push forward let your child grow.

If she's not your oldest, you can ask the school directly.
If you don't have a school, reach out to the Ziva Kriger Foundation

The answer is basically made for you, there are very little schools that will take a girls in December and the ones that do mostly take sisters.

Yes, this. I had to fight the schools to take my November kids (I have a few of them and they all turned out great in their appropriate classes bH). I think most girls' schools have November cutoffs so you may not have a choice at all. And many, if not most, people hold their November/December (even October!) kids back so you have to be okay with yours being the youngest. It worked out fine for my kids but not everyone likes that, especially when there are several kids more than a year older than yours, which happens more often than you'd think.

I don't have personal experience but from what I understand they help guide parents of young children to decide things about being held back or pushed ahead, paying for therapies vs letting the issue resolve itself.

When we were deciding if we should hold my September some back or push him ahead, this is the advice we got from multiple people in chinuch:
For a girl, if they do well socially, even if they are younger than others they are good
For a boy, they need to be doing well academically and in sports in order to push them ahead
