What do you put in your shoe to make your flat foot more comfortable? It hurts by the middle of the sole where the arch is.

I have the opposite problem - very high arches that don’t flex when I step. Going to a store that specializes in arch supports and has a fitter on staff was the best thing I ever did. They can help fit you with the right options or let you know if you need custom/medical orthotics. I’m OOT but maybe if you post where you shop someone can recommend a store. It’s really worth the hassle.

my podiatrist recommends the ones mentioned above. sometimes you need to remove the insole of the existing shoe for them to fit. a shoe repair place can do that for you if you can't do it yourself.

I wear custom orthodics. Since I'm 13. Can't walk without them.

They fit pretty ok in most of my shoes. Obviously not dressy ones. But in slip on sneakers, booties etc...
