DD18 needs her hair done for a wedding we have coming up. Her hair is very very straight, it won't hold a curl no matter what. any nice ideas would be much appreciated. the hair person asked us to come with a picture or clear idea of what we want, but I don't know what would look nice....

waterfall braid? Something like this. There's different types you can do, but this is the basic idea of hair woven across the head.

I also think braids are the way to go. I think a headband braid can look gorgeous. Either Google or go on YouTube for ideas.

I also love the headband braid but is it appropriate for 18yo? I would do it on a younger child.

Some kind of bun updo will hold her hair best as gravity can't make it fall straight.
Any half down or all down style might become limp and straight pretty quick.

Look on Amazon for a simple pretty hair piece (is that what it's called? Hair pin? Hair clip? Hair jewelry?) coordinating with her dress, you can order a few and return whichever doesn't work. So many cheap ones are very pretty & don't look cheap! And it adds a lot to a simple hair style.

I don't have time to look for exactly what I mean but this is a similar idea in a bridal look
