You did not indicate WHERE on earth this is nor the FULL name of the school.

There is more than one jewish school with the initials “YST” in the entire WORLD, lol!!

Please clarify in your heading so posters might be able to help you out.

elementary school is in piscataway nj. it’s a community school serving mainly edison/highland park community but families from springfield, manalapan sent there.
huge mix - yeshivish, baalabatish, chabad, yu types.
very academic, both lemudei kodesh and english.
hanhala definitely yeshivish. most teachers are from lakewood

The family range has narrowed in the past few years - more yeshivish/families from Brooklyn/BTs, fewer YU/centrist families. It will iyH be moving from Piscataway to a new building in Edison (walking distance for many) in a year or two.
There will also be some changes as the principal is new this year (she is the daughter of the retiring founding principal and there is a lot of continuity, but naturally things will change somewhat, some more teacher turnover etc)
It’s a wonderful school!

I agree that it's a wonderful school. There is diversity in the school, although the education is an open-minded Bais Yaakov. It feeds into an amazing high school, Reenas BY. Most of the YU minded people go to RPRY or Netivot.
