This shouldn’t be in fashion and beauty lol
I’m looking for a pair of sneakers in a boys size 10 that’s good for playing in mud. I don’t want him to use his school pair or it gets wet. No natives or Floafers because then his feet get beyond filthy.

What should he wear to play in the mud? Smile

His feet will get filthy in sneakers as well, so you might as well use natives/crocs that clean easily.
If you don't want his feet getting dirty, he needs good tall boots. (Still not a guarantee though, but the best option for playing in mud.)

I let my kids wear their rain boots also. Get them from carters (on sale) or target for a reasonable price.

Op said her son is 10 years old.

I have a kid that age. No way will he wear boots. Way to babyish. He wears natives that don't have holes. I think they are made buy the crocs company. My son is very hard on his shoes so they last about only 2-3 month, easier to clean than sneakers. Not used in actual mud used to play outside when the grass sprinklers are on. Water goes in through the top though

They have holes but not as many as natives.
