We are thinking to take a short family trip in July.
I want to go somewhere where there is kosher restaurants and minyan.
Florida is too hot.
I would rather fly than drive but I want it to be in the US. We live in NY and we are upstate in the summer.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I would want to leave Sunday come back Thursday.
We have young children so I would want a place that has some family trips we can take together that are stroller friendly. I like being outdoors and walking. Maybe near a large national park?
My kids are easy to please so they’ll be happy to come around with us. One day maby we’ll take them to something more kid friendly (if it’s raining) like a dave n busters or chuckee cheese.

Why are you looking to fly for such a short trip? Since you want kosher and shuls I’d recommend Boston or Philly. If you’re open to bringing food you’d have a lot more options.

Last year we went to washington/silver spring area.
Really nice.
Kosher food in silvers spring. A bunch of museum in Washington, some are free.
We even used Hilton points for hotel.

minneapolis, boston, chicago, all come to mind. could be hot or could be nice, hard to predict but not as hot as arizona will be likely

How short a trip are you planning? Of it is only 2-3 days and you are already upstate, it may be less hassle to go to Niagra Falls, the Finger Lakes, etc than to fly anywhere.
