I am looking for a good quality wifi mesh extender for one room in the back of the house which is far away from the router. I once ordered a cheap one and it didn't work. Which do you recommend? which model? they have several types? if you can provide a link, much appreciated.

An extender and a mesh network are two separate things.
If you're looking for a mesh network, google is great. You just need to be strategic with placement.
