Has anyone gone to Ausable Chasm recently?
What ages are old.enough to appreciate it?
How many days can you spend in the area?

I was there two years ago with DH. It was really nice. I saw people there with kids ages 4 and up. The older the kids are the more they’d appreciate it. We only spent the day there. I don’t know if there is anything else to do. Though I recall when I was in Lake George that there were pamphlets about taking a trip to Ausible Chasm, so maybe you can travel an hour and a half to Lake George afterward .

I've been there twice, most recently about 4-5 years ago. It's a cute place, but somewhat remote, and it doesn't take more than 2-3 hours to go through. You could take the nearby boat across Lake Champlain (it takes cars too!) and then do activities in VT - Shelburne Museum takes most of a day (and is NOT a museum despite its name), plus other outdoorsy activities.
As for ages, it's a fairly short walk (1 mile?), then the boat or tube ride through the water. I'd say 6+ would be ideal, though younger could definitely do it.
