I honestly can't remember which album/composer/time period it's from...I recall it from my childhood so I would guess at least 15 years old or so...
The words are ואמרתם כה לחי ואתה שלום וביתך שלום וכל אשר לך שלום and it is NOT the lag baomer song about rashbi, just a song for that one pasuk.

low part:
ואמרתם כה לחי
ואמרתם כה לחי
ואתה שלום שלום
וביתך שלום

high part:
ואתה שלום וביתך שלום
ואתה שלום וביתך שלום
וכל אשר לך... שלום

Hoping that this will ring a bell for someone. It's relevant because I want to be able to reference it when teaching that pasuk in Navi.
If someone can give me the album info that would be great - bonus points if you can find a video or recording online...
TIA!

Can you narrow it down by specifying which havarah you remember this being sung?

no, that's not it (though I did come across it when searching...)
It's probably an old-ish American group (like Dveykus/Shalsheles type, but not actually either of those afaik)

overall slow, but it does speed up slightly by the high part
there is a little drumming pause/moment before the last "shalom" in the high part

This is probably of no help to you, but the one I’m thinking of—the high part reminds me of the high part of Benny Friedman’s “Fulfill your Tefilla “.

I have the song playing in my head right now.
Pretty sure it was Yigal Calek and London boys choir.
Any London imas or fans of old London school of Jewish song music?
Maybe someone here is married to one of the boys, they’re grey haired grandfathers now.

I just found the song on the zing jewish music app. If I found the correct song, it's from Yoni Shlomo, album is called ''tracht gut'' , the song is called ''veata shalom''

I don’t know about OP, but I think it’s probably the one I was thinking of.

No, it's new York school of Jewish song that I'm thinking of
Edited to add, no that's way older than 15 years

I remember the song from my childhood (probably 30+ years ago), and I'm pretty sure it was a boys' choir. Tzlil v'zemer? Something else?

Hi, librarylady.

FOUND IT!!

I KNEW I still had the LP. (I hoard everything.)

It's from the "red cover" album "The New York School of Jewish Song accompanied by Neginah."
The title of the track is "V'amartem". It's the first track on Side Two. The words are from Shmuel Aleph, possibly Perek chaf heh.

Hope you can still find/order it if you like it that much. Or you may even find it on YouTube.

Thank you! I was actually trying to remember a different song and found it on this album... For some reason I kept thinking it was on a London or Toronto album, completely forgot about New York!
