Kosher food is mostly on Harvard Street in Brookline. Butcherie groceries, sushi, and takeout, Kosher Wok Chinese, Koppels bagels and bakery, Rami Felafel and schwarma, Pure Cold Press Dairy Salads, Panini, Omelettes, and Soup. Veggie Crust Pizza on Cypress Street in Brookline, Milk Street Cafe in Downtown on 50 Milk Street. Recently, Somerville has gotten two restaurants--a branch of Veggie Crust and Lehrhaus bar and snacks. Salem, home of the witch trials also has Adeas Mediterranean restaurant on Lafayette Street. The Peabody Essex Museum in Salem is interesting and you can take a trolley tour of the town. There are a number of branches of JP Licks ice cream throughout the city and suburbs. Good things to do: Aquarium, Faneuil Hall, Boat Ride on Boston Harbor and Harbor Islands, Newbury Street, Fine Arts Museum, Museum of Science, MIT Museum in Cambridge, Harvard Square and Harvard Natural History Museum, Lexington and Concord Historical Sites. Plimouth Plantation is also very interesting as you can see how some of the first Europeans in the new colony of Massachusetts Bay lived side by side with Native Americans. The recreation is really interesting and you can interact with the interpreters in costume fully in character with the time period.

I love Boston! Some of my family's favorite activities there are the Duck Boat tours, science museum, aquarium, and Tea Party boat (also the children's museum, but that's not for teens). On a nice day, walking/biking/boating the Charles River is wonderful!

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Freedom Trail. It's not to be missed.
