Does anyone have a list of what I need to get done for an upshernish?
My son is turning 3 soon and I have no idea where to start?
Also, what is usually done at upshernish? I haven’t been to one in years.

Just wonderingI have never heard of the expression opshernish?
Is it lubavitch? Chassidish?
Sorry I dont have any advice.
I just did a simple party in my house with a few friends.
For one of my kids we just did party with family at home. Just a special supper and the hair cut and a cake.

What would you like to do? Invite family and friends? Where do you want to make it? Outdoors? In your dining room? Do you want to serve a full breakfast or just pastries?
Basically- first figure out what you want to do and what your budget it.

I did it Thursday night.
Invited aunts, cousins, and grandparents.
Served Cholent, kugel, sesame chicken, chicken fingers, Cole slaw, pickles, cake, soda, liquor, etc. (everything homemade but you can cater). And of course pekelach…
Went to cheder on Sunday with just grandparents and single aunts and uncles. Took along honey cake, liquor, and pekelach.
I did it in my house, low key, being it was before Pesach.
You can go all out and take an event planner or you can just do cake and liquor… no rules.
