I would agree that cash would prob be appreciated most. maybe with a nice card attached to a beautiful chocolate platter on an erev shbbs. or fruit platter - if they are more healthy type.

I find with fancy gifts in that price range generally are a hit or miss, more likely a miss that they will end up exchanging or giving away. if you decide to go the gift route, please make sure its exchangeable so you don't waste your money.

I got personalized pens. You can add in personalized pads from the desk of ... I ordered on etsy and had my daughter write a thank you note. Your kid is in 1st grade so you write a note and have your child sign it ❤️

As a teacher, I've loved the personalized gifts I've gotten over the years. One of my favorites was a teacher bag filled with snacks and candy:)
