Anyone have any info on Rinas Seminary? I heard varying things about it.

Is there an emotional abuse issue with the principal or is that only a rumor?

There’s a thread about this already.
If you’re looking to hear good things only you can ask here but if you’re looking to get honest information you won’t get that here because as soon as someone mentions anything negative they get shot down by people who haven’t had the same experience or haven’t heard of those issues.

There’s a poster that said you can PM her for more information on the other thread.

I am looking for information of people who went recently to see if anything has changed or if it is the same

I have a niece there now and a niece who went the year of COVID. Both had a positive experience, as far as I know. It doesn't mean anything though.

What does recently mean? They’re only open 6 years.
A few different posters shared their experience there and we weren’t all there the same year.

I guess if someone can share their experience and how long ago they sent so I can get a good idea of what it once was and what it is now.

The more recent information, the better.

We are so saddened to hear this because we were searching high and low for a non-academic seminary with good girls Sad

What do you call good girls? Do you mean very yeshivish? Heimish? Good is very relative, but if you describe what you are looking for, people can chime in with suggestions.

One that have good standards. They don't need to be ultra frum with the highest standards, but just with good standards.
(example: She wants to be with girls who don't have social media or listen to non-Jewish music.)

And girls who aren't just in Sem to have fun and party, but want to learn and grow.

NOT a rumor. End of sentence.

And I will disagree with that. My sister was there recently and the principal was wonderful for her. She has a specific and intense style but not emotionally abusive from what I heard.

People need to understand that emotional abusers never abuse everyone they come in contact with. If they would abuse everyone they would never have authority in 1st place.
