Help me find a place to vacation this summer (USA)

Can you help me find a place to vacation this summer? We have never gone on any type of vacation. Bh dh and I are both able to take off and we can afford a small vacation for the first time this year.

We have kids, ages 1-13 so needs to be family friendly, things for kids to do.
Not a very expensive place, not looking to break the bank.

Any ideas? Somewhere in the US, since we don't all have passports.

I'm looking into Atlanta, Georgia. There is kosher food, minyan, family friendly attractions and it doesn't look too costly. It seems warm, but I wonder if it's warmer than Lakewood.

We're in Lakewood. We can fly or drive, though if it's driving we'd prob not do well with more than 2 or 3 hours away.
We'd love someplace a little cooler and less humid than Lakewood.

Well then I think we'll pass. I'm trying to get out of the heat.

Go out west and do national parks. There are many. Grand Canyon. Yosemite. Yellowstone. Bryce. Zion. Glacier.

We've done Lancaster. About 2 hours from Lakewood. I love the Lush green grass and rolling hills. Hershey Park is only about 45 minutes from there

Try the Poconos, not too far, you can find a condo or house to rent and take food. Not a far drive, cooler, lots to do.
If you are willing to drive further, you could try the Berkshires or Boston.
Baltimore might also work, but it won't be cooler!
