Please tell me what you know about this hotel.
I thought I heard that there is a kashrus concern but I’ve been hearing that people are going.
How does it compare to the Raleigh?

The Kashrus is the least of the concerns (although I never heard that it’s an issue ). The place is gross.! I was there a little over a year ago and would never go back.

It can’t be worse than Oppenheimers! That’s where I used to go. We wanted a change but we are worried about the kashrus.
Anyone know anything?

We were at oppenheimers last year. The building was old but IMHO in decent shape, and clean

The food isn’t salted
There isn’t enough food (besides it being under salted which is an accomplishment) the manager yelled at waiters for giving so much food…
The rooms are dirty (found Corn Pops under dresser and panty in drawer)
They serve the same food Friday night, Shabbos morning, Shabbos afternoon, ms, Sunday morning as in the same cookie tray
They made baked ziti with 5 different kinds of pasta combined
The rooms smell
There are broken chairs in the rooms
The rollaways never arrived
It wasn’t that much cheaper than other places to justify the grossness

It seems like it was once a nice hotel (huge theater, ballrooms, pools, etc) that just wasn’t maintained

It's a shame because there's so much potential. But I don't think there is any issue with the kashrus there.

The food was plentiful and good. I have never heard of a kashrut problem.

The place is old but they are working very hard, piece by piece to fix it up. It is a huge undertaking.

It was funny and off to see 5 pastas in one pan - meaning they were so cheap they were using leftovers and combining…. It was the cherry on top of the whole vibe…

Iv been there a while back before any renovations started and the place was sickening!!! We found a colony of bugs under the sofa in our room🤮 the pool was dilapidated as well as a creepy broken gym… I would pay that but more to go to Raleigh…

I was there recently. The place is old and enormous. There is a lot that needs to be done. They are working very hard to renovate.

The lobby is new. The dinning room is old but fine. The rooms he gave a face-lift to, but need much more. Some have been gutted and will be new. The pool and gym were closed and under renovation. The mini golf is broken. They are trying but need to start somewhere.

I don’t think I have ever met a harder working person or a person with more energy that Yossi, the guy who is basically single-handedly running the show.

I have been there before and I will be back again, but no, it is not the lap of luxury.
