Would you buy the new updated Bosch machine or get a second hand older version? Like the ones our parents have.. suppose to be much stronger

I would probably buy the older version if it has all the parts and is in decent condition.
The new one is a piece of plastic.
Mine in comparison to my mothers is a whole different story.
Most of it is made of metal, the beaters are better and motor as well.
It might be heavier to lug around but that's just showing the quality.

Thanks for the reply. The one I can get is actually not used but will be put together for me by someone fixing appliances, what do you say to that?

If he's a reliable guy I would trust him, make sure he'll stand behind it.
Is the price the same as new?

I wouldn’t. If it were an old one in perfect condition, maybe, though I still probably wouldn’t want to use someone else’s used machine for my food. But a completely rebuilt one made from old, refurbished parts? No way. What kind of guarantee will he give you?

He's extremely reliable and does appliances for around 40 years. The price of a remade one is probably cheaper but I don't know exactly

A rebuilt one made from new parts, not used as I understood. About guarantee, he'll fix it whenever, he's a close family member

OP, I would take the old version in a heartbeat!
Reason: The Quality. It's reliable. Not like the brand new ones that look fancy but break if you sneeze twice.

Older model if replacement parts are still available. I had to throw out an entire appliance that I had hardly even used because of a single part. The company that made it was out of business and the part no longer available. Without that part the appliance was dead in the water.

I have what it think is the new model, and it's going strong with heavy use for 12 years now bh. No issues, nothing broke.
