my son is almost 4. he's been a terrible sleeper from day one. if I don't give him melatonin every night, he wouldn't fall asleep for hours. he typically wakes up for the bathroom and then wants another bottle to get him to sleep again but its hard and can take awhile. I'm also fighting to keep him out of my bed. he's my youngest of 8 bh and I've never had this with my others. I know I have to get rid of the bottle but don't know how! its his security and comfort. ive gotten a sleep study done with no major findings and have spoken with a sleep consultant over the years but not recetly. any magic tricks?

Cut out the bottle. Replace it with a water bottle when he asks for it. A few sips and put to sleep.
