Relax. Baby will most likely be OK, and what’s done is done. No point in being nervous. I’d pay attention to air quality warnings for the future, though.

I'm such a nervous wreck now! I feel so guilty.
And to make myself feel worse I shlepped all my kids to a shoe store far from home.

Nothing to do about it in retrospect. Your baby will most likely be fine, just be more careful in future

Why did you do that? It’s really not smart. Did you not know that it’s damaging to children’s health?

This is not a helpful comment. What’s done is done. Most likely baby will be OK, and I’m sure OP will be more careful in the future.

Depending on how old your baby is you can help them detox by putting a little epsom salt in their bath. If you’re breastfeeding, take some extra vitamin c, magnesium, glutathione, b vitamins, any liver support you may have handy.

How did you feel being outside? You didn’t feel like you want to be inside?

Maybe the hours you were out it wasn’t so bad yet, since most people didn’t even want to be outdoors long term…

Seriously? What’s done is done. Don’t make a guilty mama feel worse. What’s wrong with you?

a heavy smoker can build back his lungs almost as a non-smoker when he quits for a few years. Your baby's lungs will be good as new (if there was any damage at all) by tomorrow.
sleep with no worries!

Maybe call pediatrician to see if you should be on the lookout for anything

I was out a lot and didn’t feel anything out of the ordinary. It just looks creepy and smells like smoke. What is the danger? Is it like smoking a cigarette ?

Interestingly enough I didn't smell anything. I guess I got used to it. The color outside is creepy. But I only felt the guilt when I came home.

I can try to stay home tomorrow.
But how long will this last?
It's so hard staying home all day. I get serious cabin fever.
I'm starting to hyperventilate. Feeling major Covid vibes...
