help! my 5 month old sleeps well at night, but he refuses to sleep during the daytime - thus he becomes extremely agitated as he gets tired but is too round up to go to sleep. - he rock him, sit with him, but it doesn't seem to help....

I try to give him at least 2 naps a day = and usually there are like 3-5 hours between them -
I would give him more naps, but even for these two naps he falls asleep very difficultly, and wakes up like after a half hour.
he does give me like 12 hours a night- though he wakes up like twice for a feeding.
last night he went to bed around 9:00 pm, he slept till like 10:00 am this morning, with waking up twice for feedings. He seems exhausted now at 1:00 but I'm finding it very difficult to get him to sleep.

My babies don't sleep well during the day until I start solids. It was like a switch flipped. Is he showing any signs of being ready for solids? You may want to try

3 to 5 hours between naps might be too long. Try putting him to sleep after 2 or 2.5 hours.
