I don’t live there but I’ve gotten a bunch of stuff in five below. Prizes for kids, outdoor activities, random household stuff… everyone needs different things.

If you didn't find anything worthwhile why are you asking what junk someone else accumulated

Be thankful you are blessed with the ability to walk into a store and only buy what you need.

That is the kind of store where you leave them $5 so you can walk out with something junky that will break very quickly.
Learned the hard way…

I don't go to that location, but I purchase many things. Swim shoes for the whole family, toothbrushes, art supplies, water bottles, Crayon crayons, clothing very occasionally, outdoor toys, prizes, bath bombs, travel personal item such as creams, deodorant, shampoo etc..

I don't live in Brooklyn, but it's basically an afikoman warehouse. If my kid has $10 and he wants to spend it, why not let him have fun there? I don't let the things accumulate, it's use for a bit and then it goes. But also it's great for cheap electronic things like ear phones, art things, cheap blankets when you need one... it's a fun place to go, and way better quality than the toys at amazing savings.

Got some nice cheap rugs from 5 Below. One was actually bigger than I thought when I unrolled it. Got some stuff for my dogs, throw pillows, pool stuff.

I'm not standing outside of the store casting judgement on anyone.

I personally can't walk out of my local version of this store without spending $50... and more than once have forgotten to pick-up the thing I came for.

I don't think this type of store, is the type we go to with something specific in mind to buy. It's more the type of store that we go in & buy whatever we think we may need or kids would enjoy.

I go to one in NJ, but my kids feel like I got them something and my wallet is mostly unscathed. It’s not about what I can find, but them. Win-win. I can’t afford a lot, and a cheaper store is nice.

I don't live there but I've gotten lots of things over the years at my local branch.

Hair accessories
Summer outdoor toys
Taking kids to pick something out- it's really the best store for that.
Swim accessories
School bags- junk but great for kids who lose their stuff often
Party supplies
Who knows what else
