My 3.5 year old comes to my bed every night. I don't see a problem with it at all. I don't even know what time, it doesn't wake me, and it he needs the security, I'm certainly not gonna be locking him out. This is behavior that will naturally outgrow with time...I have several older children that sleep through the night in their own beds just fine and I never had to put my foot down about it. I wouldn't fight it. It's a normal part of parenting kids this age who are on one hand so big and yet also just babies.

Ok. I confess, my 7 year old still comes to my bed every night. 🫣

My 6 year old does. Its really disruptive though because I like to snuggle with DH in the morning but I can't when DS is there.

So in and of itself it's ok, but it's impacting my marriage so it's a problem and I dont know what to do.

We have the same situation. As long as it’s not impacting your sleep, the only thing to do is to leave it alone. Once DH decides it’s becoming inconvenient, he’ll probably take care of it on his own.

my 4 and 5 year old take turns going to sleep in my room. they officially share a room but they both kept on wanting to sleep in my room. We made a deal that they switch off nights sleeping in our room, but when we go to sleep we always transfer them back to their own bed.

I think this helps them with the anxiety of going to sleep, they know that they can sleep in mommy's bed today or tomorrow if they want.

mind you, I'm slightly ocd about having little people in my bed, and I hate it. but what don't we do for our kids Smile ?
