If you own your own house, how old were you when you bought your own house (or apt, for the Israeli's)???

If you worked for it, why are you spoiled? I was 21, my husband was 25, and we paid for it ourselves...

I was 17 and bought a large home in flatbush there was no working. I mean I worked I babsat and what not but not enough to buy a house in flatbush I have a trust fund that was set up to be used for schooling or to buy homes. When I say I was 17 people obviously realize I couldnt have worked for all the money cause I only graduated from high school at 16 and then went to Israel for a year.

yes, people tend to get jealous of people who have trust funds and don't work.

And sometimes people with trust funds do tend to be spoiled since they don't have to work. (not that I'm implying that you are, I don't know you at all...)

we're both 34 with 2 kids and at this point we don't ever plan to buy a house. We both work and have money coming in, but every penny goes right back out---- we have $200,000 worth of debt to pay down--- why save for a down payment on a home?

and at this time my husband is out of work anyway.

we rent a GREAT house and have a wonderful landlord. I'd hate to be the go to gal for all the plumbing issues and anything that could go wrong.
