Looking for a maxi dress/ gown for close friend wedding, would like to spend under $300. I'm a hard fit so don't do well online. Which local stores might have?

I just had a really nice experience at Fame. There was someone there just helping pull together outfits or finding the right piece who super helpful and just really really nice. I wish I had asked her name... I'd definitely go back there and they seemed to have a variety of styles and sizes and prices.

I didn't know Gemachs give out for friends weddings. Do you know if that's the case? If so, that would be great.

I don't know that they ask you for whom it's for....never saw any indication of that. It's not free - it's $85 which includes the cleaning.
