I applied to a fully remote job at a frum company and they told me that I would have a choice between working from their American (I think based in NY) or Israeli branch. I am a recent Olah, living in Israel, and I know there are certain tax benefits but don't fully understand how it works. Can anyone provide insight or advice on which is preferable regarding taxes, other benefits, and laws about employee rights? Any information is helpful. Thank you!

Speak to an accountant who is familiar with both Israeli and American tax laws.
There are so many different factors to this decision, like your income, family size, oleh status, how they will pay you, 1099, atzma'I etc. etc.

I think there was a thread about that once, maybe someone can bring it up.

this is what I think I know, but please verify this. when working for Israel you are entitled to 15 weeks paid birth leave, if you have worked on the books for a certain amount of time. You get a sickday per month and almost a full day vacation every month. (they save up and can be used later) If you earn above 6000 shekel a month you must pay taxes. your office pay for your bituach leumi.

chekc if they are gonna pay the same hourly wage.

Thanks for the replies. Around how much would an accountant charge for this? Would an accountant know the laws about employee rights and benefits? Also does anyone have any recommendations for a good but not too expensive accountant?
