I know to measure a bed by the width in inches. but if I want to buy online they have code names for everything and it never matches my bed. (I have the seemingly jewish size of 44").
I tried to google a sizing chart but it just doesnt add up to the standard 39" and 48" that I'm used to.

Twin = 39"
Full = 54"
Queen = 60"
Anything in between (44", 48") is Jewish sizes and not widely sold.

44” is a custom size that you can only find in a Jewish store as far as I know .

You can use full fitted sheet on a 48 inch bed and tuck it in. No problem. I’ve done it with many sets.

You can use a full fitted sheet on your bed. Just tuck it in.

thank you. this simplifies it a lot. are these sizes universal or do different brands call it with different names?

In the UK and Europe the sizes and names are completely different

Within the Us this is standard sizing. Europe is different

I’ve found 48” as a “non-Jewish” size, called “3/4 Full”/RV size. I guess it fits the size mattress that is found in RV’s. Still not a common size, but not exclusively Jewish.

Also on Shein the size 120x200 for the fitted sheet was close enough for me for my 48 inch beds

Yes I learned this the hard way when I ordered a set of linen from my marks and Spencer and it never fit my blanket right

I even use Queen some times. It's possible it works for me as I have really tall mattresses?
