I don't block every single thing. My kids do have whatsapp after all. But channels is not what I want in their lives.

You lose thee ability to scroll all the way down in the status tab. But messaging is still functional without every seeing the channels. And the channel content doesn't even pop up. There are just suggestions for content to look at.

Has anyone spoken to their child’s school about this? We got an email from one school, but the kid in that school doesn’t have a phone. I’ve been meaning to email my HS children’s’ principals, but I’ve been so busy. I’m going to do it right now, before I forget.

I was at tag b4 yt. They didn't offer it then
As of right now tag just used mb smart to block all status/updates, in order to block those channels.
Is safetec a new option?

I was forced to update. On a personal level it doesn't affect me much, you have to scroll down all your status and only then do you see little icons with suggested names, you don't even see content.
It's problematic though for teens because they are more interested in looking for content and it's all open.
