(Didn't know which forum to put this under, so...)

So I started putting together our things to pack (yeah, lucky enough to be going away for YT, bH) and realized...
My toddler has only one Shabbos outfit from the summer that still fits!!! And no, he can't wear his new winter stuff. It's been insanely hot here in Lkwd... What do ppl do? I guess I'm gonna try to see if I can find any stores that have summer things out still that are open tomorrow, but I can't take him to the park in pjs on Rosh Hashana... And I'm assuming Sukkos won't be that much cooler... Am I supposed to buy him the next size of summer stuff? His stuff from Pesach don't fit him anymore. Till now it was fine: He just wore the same one outfit that still kinda fits every single Shabbos. But for 2 days...

Is this how it works? You buy multiple things per season? You can tell I'm a first-time mom... Are clothing stores even open tomorrow? Really hope I find summer stuff...

- Check out Serendipity, and ask neighbors/friends if they have anything their kids outgrew that's still worth sharing?

- Check out any non frum stores that might have non winter clothes nice enough for YT?

- Shop online, at French Toast or Children's Place, or the like? (Won't arrive in time for RH, but maybe for the rest).

Amazon has some options if you want to buy something under $20. Otherwise you can borrow from a friend.

Have the same exact issue. My toddler outgrew all his summer things. Like actually tiny on him. But it's too hot for winter clothes which is what the stores are selling. Even if I find summer stuff in store still on clearance Maybe I feel silly buying a summer outfit now when he'll only wear it fot another 2 weeks or so.
He's been wearing undershirts all day and I'm still thinking what on earth should I dress him in on RH. I went to 3 stores that all sell heavy winter. It's just not right for that yet. Would also love to hear what others do. ....

Sometimes I buy stuff at their end of their season sale to last the rest of the season if I feel like they outgrew their stuff...

As someone mentioned, (I'm not from Lkwd but heard about it...) maybe Serendipity has...

For babies and little kids who grow quickly I end up ordering another 1-2 outfits mid-season when things go on sale.

If not, use the same outfit carefully (like for shule only) and change out of when you dont need to impress others. Regular day outfits in good condition- on babies are usually cute enough unless they are denim.

I use a button down shirt and add a sweater when it gets cold. You could get simple pants and a shirt with a cute sweater for the winter.

Generally I
1) get several outfits even for shabbes because toddlers are messy.
2) dress them in whatever, in a pinch, because everyone knows that toddlers are messy, so if they show up in their PJs in the park, people will understand that you ran out of other outfits on yomtov.

I realized last night I didn’t have any outfits for my kids that still fit. So I ran to Zara. 3 outfits for 2 kids under $200

But personally I also start wearing fall outfits on RH. We go away to a hotel and don’t really go outside so I can get away with it. I’ll be wearing warm sweaters for the next 2 days

I bought 1-2 things, summer knit on clearance, it's a little heavier than regular summer so they can wear it a little longer. And I take it off for meals, basically only for shul and walking to meals/for guests to see when they come in the door Laugh

eating time is undershirt only! The park you can do regular it's ok.
