A button down light shirt is a great idea, because you can winterize it too and it won’t go to “waste”. Toddler boys look so cute in button down shirts. I think Zara has nice ones. Can also get on amazon

Not OP, but I have the same situation with 18-24 month boy. His summer stuff are small on him, and I don’t even have that much winter stuff yet. We are going somewhere warm for Succos, so I’m not sure what to do. I ended up ordering 2 new summer things even though it seems a little silly.

I buy 3 outfits per season for shabbos for my kids. It doesn’t have to be expensive at all. I also try to buy a size that will fit all season. 2 pieces last longer than one pieces. You can buy long thin shabbos and he can wear that until succos….

This thread explains why. It doesn't really make sense to buy clothes for a couple days. The weather is already cooling.

I'm back... I ended up sick in bed for most of erev, but I did run out to Kidichic's outlet and bH found something kinda doable for $13 including tax. He wore it on the 2nd day, and while I don't love it and it isn't the most practical, it works well enough. I guess I'm grateful we don't have 3-day yomim tovim this year!
