Are women fasting today? Why is there no school?

I’m tired of entertaining kids another day! Please be kind in your answers. I know about BC. I know some people would rather be in my shoes... I’m still tired after a draining chag. I’d love to send them to school today.
Anyone hear me?

Yes there is school in many locales. Mostly with early dismissal and possibly late start, but there is school!

My kids have school, I'm at work. We're all falling apart. I wish I could stay home with them another day. I don't get how everyone got their kids to school on time this morning, we are barely standing

We have a half day. Many women are fasting. I wouldn’t mind a vacation day today! My kids are also tired.

As an aside, I Chile to allow them all to stay home, it’s less complicated than picking them up after school for a half day of school.

Many women fast.
I’m not sure why there is no school where you are, but many women, including the morahs and administrative staff in schools, are fasting today. Many mothers staying home today are fasting and many mothers working are fasting today.
The kids are wiped, just like the parents. Maybe that’s why your kids have off.
My kids had a late start, and a very early finish, but they are tired, and so is their father who is a Rebbi (and a Baal Tefillah and Baal Tokaiah). But, oh well, we will get through this day too. BEZH.

I can not name my school for fear of LH but they always give off the day after YT. I guess it’s worth being a teacher in my school.

My kids all have half a day but two of my kids didn't get bussing yet so carpool (and my toddler) so 3 carpools....crazy. all end at 12:15 or 12:30. I'm at work. Not fasting cuz pregnant.

I don’t fast due to medications and health issues. But kids have school today , boys and girls have a half day and I’m working a full day.

Shushan Purim and Isru chag everyone gives off. I guess it's only RH ..

I'm not fasting because I'm nursing but if I wasn't I would be. All kids are in school, the ones old enough to fast have a half day, the younger ones have a regular full day.

Fasting, working and kids have a half day. There is so little school should be a full day but ill take what I can get. It was no fun getting everyone out but its good they have school.

That’s not true. Some of my kids have school shushan Purim, and I always had school on shushan Purim growing up, at least in elementary school.

I didn't. My kids don't. Brooklyn, Monsey, Chassidish, Yeshivish.

FYI, I once taught in a kiruv school. We had school on Purim Day. 😊
