I've had Amazon deliver packages to my neighbor. It's one thing if I know it's coming and then can see from the picture that it was delivered to the wrong address but at least I recognized which neighbor to get it from. It's awkward because I don't want to look like a porch pirate so usually I'll send one of my kids. It's worse when someone sends me a package and I don't know about it and then they ask about it and I have no idea what they're talking about. I have communicated with Amazon explaining that I don't need a refund since I was able to figure out where my items ended up and get them, but that I want them to figure out on their end why my items were misdelivered and prevent it from happening again.

In OP's case it is definitely worth contacting the company and being completely honest about the situation. She ordered items express delivery and they were misdelivered and therefore she did not receive them in time. At the very least the company should figure out how that happened so they won't repeat their mistake and they should refund the additional cost of express shipping. If OP wants to keep all the items then that's the extent of what she should be asking for. If she has no more use for the items or some were damaged from the package getting wet, then OP is certainly within her rights to return those items for a complete refund.

I was able to chat with an agent now. I told them exactly what happened. They asked for a photo of the wet packaging. They offered to send a free return label and replacement items.

I didn't say that I don't need the items anymore. I needed it for rosh Hashanah already but we still need them after as well.

you're getting wronged, but your call whether you want to push it. you have no urgent need for the replacement items now, so you the express shipping for the replacement items does you no good. they're conferring a useless benefit on you that may be costing them little/nothing more than the cost to send the item the ordinary way. you're certainly entitled to a refund for the original express shipping, but again, your choice whether to push it.
