What colours for photo shoot?

We hope to have a large family picture, outdoors on chol hamoed, in the UK.
Originally we wanted to do white, denim and blue because they're nice neutral colours that everyone has, or can get easily.
Now my sil is saying its too summery, if leaves are on the ground a and it's chilly outside etc. She has a point.
What colour combo would you do? Mixture of adults and kids of all ages and genders. Tia

I think red, black, oranges and browns but my sil thinks that's too complicated.
I guess we won't be able to please everyone!

I would still do white and blue and add another color, but leave out the denim. White is a classic. Denim is distinctly summery. You can do black white and blue.

We did creams, tan, and brown one year.
You can do earth tones, browns, olive green, Burgundy etc.
Black and earth toned colors work nicely as well.

Happens to be ive seen fall shoots with white and denim and it looked gorgeous. The contrast against the sunny leaves was so beautiful

When you have a large group and you want it to look cohesive, you need to stick to 3, tops 4 related colors.

I know you said your picture is going to be outside, but what colors are the things in the background? You’d want to go with it. I love the idea of fall colors.

I don't mean that they should use all colors. Those are color options to choose from.

We don't want to buy clothes specially for it so we're doing any autumn colour that we all have in our wardrobe! Hope it won't look too messy...
Tans, deep greens, maroons, black, brown, navy etc..
If you have another idea that will look neater then please share Smile

I definitely don't want black and white.

I think a big family shoot looks nice in many colors as long as it's the same family. So a hodgepodge of fall colors can be beautiful. White and denim is very dated and very 80s. ( I'm a photographer )

So you mean dh, myself and our kids should stick to one colour or it doesn't matter because it'll be a mix anyway?
