My other kids weren't like this, when I told them to stop they listened or just never said bad words to begin with. He doesn't seem to be responding to any methods I've employed. Anyone successfully get their toddler to stop?

It's a passing phase. Just don't laugh, cuz it is funny. Sometimes.

Let it go, he'll stop eventually.

My 4.5 year old is in a stupid phase. How was school, stupid how was this stupid. I play along and asked her how stupid school was and it totally let the wind out of her sails.

I would normally let it go, and agree that it will eventually stop. Thing is my toddler is starting to pick up on his words and behaviors and really don't want to deal with 2 kids saying this. Also worried he will teach other kids in class or on the block

When my daughter was that age she called everybody a dirty diaper. Apparently this phrase was going around in her playgroup. I thought it was funny. It became her go to phrase whenever she was mad. But it sounded so childish that it didn't bother me at all. Till she got bigger 😊

Seems to be the word of the year for toddlers and youngsters.
It’s on my DD5’s top three words. None of my kids ever said that word either . I think she picked it up in camp or school. Not sure but drives me nuts.

He seems to be getting your attention when he says the word. Try ignoring it, and it will probably stop.

Find him a different fun word to replace it. Every time he says it, make a joke out of it with the other word.

As a SEIT an 8 y.o. boy liked to say tushie and laugh.

I asked him " do mommy and totty think that's funny?

No, because mommy and totty are big.

Only 4 year Olds think that's funny.

My 2.5 year old heard my 19 year old non frum brother swear in the past and will now say "sh*t" if she drops something. She also said today "what the f%%!" It doesnt happen all the time but I ignore it. Im scared she'll say it in playgroup one day. We are yeshivish!! I told my brother he has to cut out the swearing and hes been respectful since

My 3 year old liked the word "kaki" (poop in Hebrew). He's 4.5 now and I can't remember when he stopped, but he eventually did.

My 2 year old said f*** a few times one day. It shocked me, I'm not sure where she heard it, but I told her that we say "oops" instead. We roleplayed a few scenarios, and then I didn't mention it again. She woke up the next morning and has never said it again, BH

Stupid, correct me if I'm wrong has a very rewarding sound, speech wise and uses the swearing cortex in the brain.

Role model/practice a replacement or ignore. You know your kid best, whichever will work. But don't punish, that will reinforce it.
