Can I make beef stew on Friday afternoon around 1 and leave in oven until the seudah motzei shabbos? Was planning on putting in beef stew cubes, carrots, potatoes, tomato sauce and some spices. Oven will be on 200. Would that work or any other ideas when to make it so it’ll taste good and fresh motzei shabbos?

The meat will be very dry if you cook it that many hours. I would cook as normal in advance and reheat motzei shabbos.

Thanks. I usually make in my crockpot and it’s on low for about 9 hours so if I do that on Thursday and keep in fridge until motzei shab and then reheat you think it’ll taste fresh or should I skip?

200 for 9 hours would be similar to your crockpot. Otherwise you can do 325 for about 3 hours.

It’s a dense food and it’ll take really long to warm up. If you can leave your oven on 275 or at least 250 that works better. |
Thank you! I’ll leave on 250.
