I have a pickled corn beef and no idea what to do with it. Can you give me instructions for stovetop or oven without the bag? I don't like cooking with plastic. Thank you!

Put it in a put on the stove covered with water. Keep some of the liquid from the bag but not all of it
Cook for about an hour covered on the stove. Drain when it’s tender, rinse with ice cold water, put in the oven with sauce for 3-4 hours covered tightly

Easiest thing to do is crockpot, cover with water and throw in some carrots and onions, beer if you’re feeling Irish, and set on high for 4-6 or low for 6-8. Perfectly tender and flavorful. Broth is good too and gets perfectly salty even without any of the liquid from the bag.

Take it out of the plastic and rinse lightly. Put it in an extra deep 9x13. Add 3 cut garlic cloves. Water 2/3 up, to just barely cover. Cover tightly with. For a 4 lb corned beef, bake at 300 for 4 hours. (I like to bake 3 hours if not serving right away. Chill overnight. Slice when very cold. Reheat slices in the cooking liquid before meal where it continues to soften. )

I never use the bag I am too nervous. I do what RA Mom does. I also really like using the instantpot if you own. It cuts the cooking time tremendously.

I'm also nervous about the bag. I don't have an instapot though I can see how that would be amazing, especially because now my oven is out of commission for the next few hours.

I don’t use the bag because I think it’s too strong a flavor cooking it in the liquid it comes in. I don’t use any spices just water in a pan or pot for around 3 hours either in the oven or stovetop whichever I have more space available .

Curious, why are you nervous to use the bag? Health reasons or safety?
I recently cooked it out of the bag and was told that cooking in the bag yields a moister piece of meat.
Trying it now. Will see the diff.
