Dying a wig- solid color or with highlights

I need to get my wig dyed. Can I do it one solid color (dark brown) or do I need to pay extra to get it highlighted/low lighted? I’m tight on money but I want this wig to look beautiful and natural so that I can feel good in it daily.

It’s an irene wig that’s 3 years old. It’s in very good condition just needs to be dyed.

Ask the sheitel macher to dye it and leave out some of the original colour in strips.
I colour wigs and I do it all the time. I wrap some strips of hair in silver foil so those dont get coloured and then I colour the rest of the wig.
I charge a bit more than a regular dye because its more time consuming but its deff a cheaper option.
The results will be almost the same as it being dyed and then highlighted.
