Were you early? Or just a super fast labor unexpected?

Just saying home birth midwives see hemorrhages every day and are trained to prevent and respond. You could potentially stay in your bed and have a smooth, easy birth. (Meaning my thinking is fast labor on time vs planned induction and unready baby…)

I chose to create my kids in my own bed but deliver them safely in the hospital.

Was it difficult physically? How long was the whole labor? Do you feel comfortable giving birth naturally without epidural? Which # child was it?
Happy both you and your baby were healthy BH!

It was crazy painful but recovery much much better bh
17 minutes from a to z
I would dream to do without epidural but this birth there's was literally zero labor pains just suddenly crazy urge to push
It was child 3
My first labor was 6 hours from a to z
Second labor was 2 hours from a to z
Third was this
Next delivery was scheduled induction to avoid this drama
And hey I also hemorrhage like crazy after each birth
The placenta was 3 times around the neck and hatzala told my hub later they almost lost me cuz the crazy bleeding

Becuz her foyer where hatzala met me was mid construction scene , with dust which is dangerous for newborn lungs ,they tired to get me to the ambulance truck asap but baby came so quick

Oh wow, op, front lawn! Did you even have time to feel embarrassed? I gave birth to one of my kids on my bedroom floor. Hatzalah arrived just in time to catch baby as he came out. I literally had no time to even feel embarrassed about my neighbor hatzalah guy delivering my baby. And the carpet was obviously in horrible shape later, required professional cleaning. I was very tempted to have planned home birth for my next, but in the end I did not. I'm still scared of the "what if".

Thanks god she has no Jewish neighbors around, besides for one, and many many bushes so I felt privacy

A responsible homebirth midwife would not take on a mother who has a history of massive hemorrhage. Massive hemorrhage has to be treated in the hospital, pitocin and other options that are available to midwives are generally NOT sufficient.

My home birth midwives know I have a history of mild/moderate hemorrhage, and although they don't risk me out for it they will encourage me to do things during pregnancy to minimize problems (keeping iron level high, some supplements). Severe hemorrhage is really not ideal to be dealing with at home and if they're responsible they'd transfer promptly anyhow so no point.

I know this feeling. My 5th baby, my water broke as I lay down after epidural and my legs were straight instead of separated and pulled back and I thought I was dying. I never screamed before that in labor. I think this happens when baby descends suddenly. My previous baby had no epidural and wasn't as bad. Though this one I think the nurses told me took only half a push!

No offence, but you didn't choose to create babies in your own bed, Hashem chose that for you.
For many; myself included, Hashem chose to create our babies in a lab. It was definitely not my decision.

How irresponsible are you to try to convince someone with a history of massive hemorrhage and extremely fast labor to do a home birth? Her labor was 17 minutes start to finish. No way a homebirth midwife would get there in time. She needs the induction so that she has the proper medical care for after birth and she doesn't bleed to death....

All u can do is be resposible & plan to have the baby in the safest place with optimal medical care, after that it's up to H', but we have to do our best. Due to fast labous & risk factors I was due to have an induction with # 8 as I have extemly fast labors and I'd previously got to hosp with not a min to spare, and my labours were getting faster # 7 23 mins A to Z. Homebirth wasn't an option as the midwifes cdn't gaurentee to get there in time. So baby #8 ended up being born at 7.5 months via crash C-section, BH I was already in hosp as I wdn't have survived-as it was they didn't think baby wd survive, they were only concerned for my life. (he survived BH). I was out for hours while they did massive blood tranfusion-they thought they'd lost me. The whole world said tehillim while I was blissfully unaware....MKY. Was told it's safe to have another baby tho I'd have to change to a better hosp and be under a op hematology OB. And have a c-section at 37 weeks. Well babby#9 was born at 36+ weeks, half an hour all in. In the middle of my son's bar mitzvah! So, no, it didn't all workout how I planned but I did my hishtadlus. BH both babies are healthy.
