Hey everyone,

I will have to stay in the NY/NJ area a couple of days over the weekend, was trying to find a family to stay with for Shabbat but I’m too shy for that, unless they have a dog (I tend to feel more comfortable and confident around them Smile

I thought of creating at little vacation for myself but I don’t want to do anything too expensive.

I was thinking of doing a hotel in NYC and eat Shabbat meals at chabad but good hotels are just so expensive (400/500 per night+80 parking per day)

Any ideas? I love nature, nice hotels or resorts in nice areas for a nice price would be great, if I could walk over to some chabad or community Shabbat meals that would be ideal.

are you traveling alone? with a spouse? children?
doyou need to be in a frum community or just somewhere near shluchim to book shabbos meals?

I’m by myself, doesn’t necessarily have to be in a frum community but I would like having community style shabbat meals (or at a family with a dog lol)

do people still use shabbat.com?
do you have a car? how far are you willing to travel? so many different communties you can go to and visit... sounds like fun. just remember to book a few days in advance if youre eating by shluchim. a rebbetzin wrote a whole letter on collive how people just show up/dont pay for meals etc
