Do you tend to consider yourself to be more brave or more cautious?

Do other people tend to call you brave or cautious? I'm asking because other people tell me I'm brave a lot, I did make Aliya, and I'm wondering if this is common among people who make Aliya that they tend to be brave.

Who would come with you, and are they on board or not?

Do you have kids? If so, what are their ages?

What are your current professions?

Definitely very cautious type, both me and my husband.

Do you get discouraged by the common advice to do it when the kids are young?

What cities are you considering?

Do you think that most people making aaliyah wait until a push or sign from above? The people I know who did it, especially as families, were kind of fighting a current to make it happen.

Yes, b'h kids between the ages of 4-14.
I don't want to give too many identifying details about us so not going to specify our professions.

Yes, worried that my kids won't adjust socially and I'll regret moving them from where they are happy now .
Definitely considering Ramat beit shemesh, but I'd love to find a smaller place with private homes and less congested.

So the thing is that we are not one of those families that are zionistic or idealistic about living in Israel. We both have a lot of close family in Israel and can totally see ourselves living there, just very scared of change and the unfamiliar.

How many years have you been undecided?

Besides for mashiach, what kind of sign would you be looking for?

I think you should stay put. Moving to a new community -- even within the same country -- requires flexibility and adaptation skills. If your whole family is change-averse, then just stay where you are. Especially if there is no idealistic drive to move to E"Y.

Well that would be a sign to me that you shouldn't move.
Moving anywhere, forget about to a completely new country with a different language, is a shock.
You need to have thick skin to make aliyah. You need to be able to go with flow, even when your brain is screaming "help! What is going on here?"
You need to really want to be living here to weather all the challenges.
