Young Israel Beth El in BP, Brooklyn, who will be Rabbi/Chazzan?
It seems Rabbi Snow made Aliyah, and Chazzan Miller retired.
Update: Young Israel Beth El in BP had an amazing Chazzan on RH, R Moshe Singer.
I wonder who they will have every Rosh Chodesh Bentching.
I assume Chazzan Millers son will daven on other Shabbosim?
There may not be that many Modern Orthodox Jews in BP but there are definitely some.
The Shul wasnt full, by any means (not all Chassidish Minyanim are full), but it wasnt empty either. I think some Chassidish women who enjoy a Chazzan were there too.

I had heard about Rabbi Snow but not Chazzan Miller. Wow, that's the end of an era...
Our guest on Shmini Atzeres might know who will be taking over, I'll try to remember to ask him.

Its a very small Minyan, a fraction of capacity.
Many people in their 60s+ live in the apartment houses.
Some more right wing people like it and come, especially when the Chazzan bentches Rosh Chodesh.
On RH and YK I saw some women with white tichlech.

That would probably be Miller Jr. He was filling in for his father over the last few years already. I don't remember his first name.

I just heard from someone in the Shul that the "board" is looking for candidates for both Rabbi and Chazzan.
Id love a Carlebach-sounding Minyan in the neighborhood.
Would a good Carlebach-sounding Chazzan attract more people than a good classical sounding Chazzan, or the reverse?

Definitely not. The Chazzan who was hired for YK was MUCH younger than Chazzan Miller's son.
I think his name is Steinwurzel. He was very good, and had a totally different sound (and look) than Miller's son.

Ah ok. I think you can sign up to get their emails. Dh was getting them for a while after we made a selichos donation one year.

They got a Rabbi, Rabbi Moshe Hubner.
I have nothing to do with the shul, but we know Rabbi Snow and Rabbi Hubner.
