I made them for shabbos. The leaves weren't cooked and I let it cook for an hour and half. THe rice tasted good besides the burnt taste. After fifteen minutes of cooking it started to burn no matter how much water I added. What went wrong?

what kind of pot did u use? my mom always used teflon. did u cook it on a high or low flame?
