Are there any books with the concepts? I don’t have time or money for a course now but I can definitely buy a book!

its no new chiddushim. its basic concepts that were elemantry to any intuitive mother generations back. its how Hashem created the world. she says so herself when she teaches about targil emun (in her foundation course) which literally translates to an exercise. that what used to be natural to every mother, has to be taught as an 'exercise' because in todays world we lost our natural instincts on how to relate to ourselves, to other ppl, and how to mother our kids
she explains how in both the chassidish and litvish worlds the derech Hashem switched at the same times. the chassidish world went with derech habal shem and in the litvish world they switched from navordak to slabodka. because in navardok it was all about "klopping" and negating the ich-ones self. but the world reached a low point where there was no ich left! so it became all about realizing our greatness and strengths. the innate goodness in every yid.
a big part of her foundation course focuses on that. how the foundation of every yid is good. the bad and negativity we see is just a reaction of the pain the person is in, which is covering up the inner good. so when you focus on the real essense of the person, s/he has a chance to heal, with the knowlege that someoe really believes in them.

this is just a tiny excerpt of her course. but basically its all torah, all basic foundational knowledge. no new fangled modern methods. and I think thats why so many thousands of people take it, love it, and find it life changing. because when its torah, its true, and it works for everyone.

I took the course and loved it but yes I did get very very nervous from the way she spoke in the beginning.
It eventually grew on me and now it doesn't bother me at all.

I LOVED this course. Was not interested in doing it and had friends trying hard to convince me for quite some time. I'm just not into these things. It's easier to read books, and I don't have the money for such things.

But boy am I glad I finally did get convinced! Sod Ha'adam is a real life-changer. And sorry for those of you who want a book or other way to get it, I haven't found anything that can measure up in even a slight way.

I did have difficulty with her style at the beginning. But before I knew it, it grew on me, and didn't bother me in the least by the end of the course. The content is so fascinating and the classes so enjoyable.

Like other posters wrote, this is not a course specifically about any topic. It's a course about life, about YOU. Some ppl told me it changed the way they daven. Some said it changed their relationship with their spouse/child/parent/sibling. Some said it helped them move past personal traumas. It's kind of all-encompassing.

Much, much recommended to anyone who can somehow swing it. Expensive but honestly worth every penny.

I only took the foundation course. This year I am doing the foundation Q&A only - both because I want more time to integrate my knew awarenesses before I move on and add more, and also because it's much cheaper.

Friends of mine have done more levels and they say it is very worthwhile. I don't have personal experience, though, so I can't recommend.

Same. I actually rejected it a few times until I just signed up. It changed my marriage, my own life and my chinuch.

that's a very broad question...

In general, it can definitely push you ahead a good few years of therapy. But I can't fully answer the question because I don't know anything about you, who you're asking for, and what kind of therapy you're asking about.

I tried to take Dina Friedman's course, but I couldn't get through it. I'm just not an auditory learner. Are there no written sources for the information?

There is a workbook to go through as you're listening with lots of images etc. If you're located in EY, you can take the in-person classes.

Personally I've had a very hard time doing other courses, but this one I didn't have such a challenge. She speaks clearly and it's very easy to follow. You finish off the class feeling relaxed and empowered, not at all lost or overwhelmed. The information is spoon-fed in such a way that it feels so basic and obvious after she explains it. She also tells stories and gives examples so it's enjoyable to listen to.

I took notes most classes (not by Q&A). Originally I did it to help me stay focused but that didn't end up being an issue for the most part so I just took notes to be able to remember and look back again.

Signed up and can’t wait.
A little nervous because I think it can be intense from what I understand.
Is it recommended to take notes or to just listen and take in what I can?

I know a few quick-paced people who told me at the end that they gained tremendously
people here had similar concerns and just got over it after a while
Seems it didn’t work for you

She says great things! But talk’s really slowly and very repetitive. I ended up appreciating it only because I did it in a group and forced myself to listen to be able to join the conversation. But took a lot of patience to listen.therefore ,I am not taking the second course .
