Pesach cleaning

It's funny, the more I learn about Pesach cleaning the more upside down it is.

"Spring cleaning isn't Pesach cleaning."

Except that it is.

Spring cleaning is getting rid of junk and clutter and straightening up the drawers and shelves so you can actually search the rooms for chometz. Which is the main point of the cleaning.

The only part of the house that actually needs deep cleaning is the kitchen and the dining room.

You can search for chometz without reorganizing your entire house or getting rid of all your junk. It’s fine to spring clean, but let’s not pretend that it’s the same thing as what’s required for preparing a house for pesach
