Can I use conditioner on my 10 month olds hair? It’s getting very dry and brittle in the back.
Does anyone have any fragrance free ones they recommend

I call it "bed hair" lol. Cuz it gets like this from sleeping and moving around in the bed. Usually happens to back sleepers.
Please don't use these chemicals in your sweet little baby's hair. It gets absorbed thru the skin. He's way too young.
You can put in a sleeping bonnet like many black people do. It keeps the hair amazingly smooth.
I have a spray bottle and I mixed a ratio of 4:1 of water and baby lotion and use that for my baby's hair when it gets like that. It really helps. I and even use it for my older kids if their hair is knotty. My 2yo is super sensitive, so I always spray her up. It leaves her hair looking really nice with a bit of a shine, but not greasy. I use Hand Over Heart, it's natural and extremely gentle.
I'm going anon as I've shared this hack too many times irl.

Hmm that’s so interesting because he’s been a stomach sleeper since she was just a few months old.
I think I’d be scared to put a bonnet on for sleep but that sounds amazing for toddlers!
So smart about the spray bottle, I’ll try that! Do you do it when it’s wet or dry?

I use a tiny bit of whatever I have. It goes on the hair, not the scalp or skin.

I've done it. 10 month baby is not in the newborn category any conditioner safe for toddlers is safe for an older baby . Be sure to use tear free. Johnson and Johnson makes condioner. I didn't find it strong enough. I ended up using Dr Fischer because I had it already in my house from my other kids.
