I think this is what he meant that it's only a small area so have to keep redoing it. but star K video shows him using a continuous stream of water. So is it as long as water doesn't stop it can still kasher even a large area? or is it only the first stream of water that hits, kashers?

The water from the stream has to directly hit the metal of the sink. You can't pour it on one part and let it drip down. When you're actually doing it it's not hard.

My kitchen sinks are large and rectangular. It takes me a few rounds of heating and pouring. (dry in between)
First round of pouring does two sides.
Second round of pouring does two sides.
Then two more rounds one for the faucet (dip into the pot and pour over) ,and one for floor of sink.
Then a final round to touch up areas I'm afraid o missed

Water backed up through the bottom of the liner and then it's a kashrus problem.

I suppose theoretically that's true, but in close to thirty years its never happened, so it's not really one of my main concerns.

2 minutes. Boil water. Pour on stainless steel sink and make sure it hits all the spots. Done.

Yup. It's the easiest part of kashering the kitchen.
